Can a rabbit a Guinea pig and a rat live together?

My daughter has a rat at the moment and we want to add to the family :-)Can a rabbit a Guinea pig and a rat live together?
rabbits and guinea pigs can, we have both together and they are like best friends, and most pet shops put them together in cages, but i am not sure about the rat, never had oneCan a rabbit a Guinea pig and a rat live together?
No. I already asked about that at the pet store. The best pet is the rabbit. Mine is litter box trained. We put his dropping in the litter pan and he just started using it.
All of these animals have different dietary needs. Rabbits should never share living quarters with guinea pigs (they will probably get along) because guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C, therefore vitamin C is added to guinea pig food. And rabbits have different nutritional needs than guinea pigs. So if you keep them in the same cage, you have no way of making sure the guinea pig ONLY eats his food and the rabbit ONLY eats his food. They can come out and play together, but they shouldn't be roommates.
no
Angela gave great advice.

None of the animals should live together. The rabbit can easily injure the others on a moment's whim. If you want togive your pets companions, same species should be good. If you do get a rabbit, please have it neutered/spayed before putting it together w/ another rabbit. You don't want babies, and ';same sex'; battles can be fierce.

Good luck!
Rabbits sexualy abuse Cavies they can also cause majour injuary to them, they are better kept in single species groups
Hi, it wouldn't be safe to expect a rabbit, guinea pig and a rat to live in harmony together. They all have different needs, and a different diet. Rabbit's are quite big animals compared to a rat, but a guinea pig could live with a rabbit. Rats like to live with their own kind, but you should introduce a new rat to your rat very carefully as they might fight. It is best to get a rat of the same sex as the one that you already have, and put the new rat in a cage next to your first rat. When you have introduced them out of their cages, you might be able to put them in one cage together. Usually when a rabbit and a guinea pig share their home, they are bought at the same time. Good luck.
All kinds of animals can learn to live together provided they

are together from a very young age, even cats and mice,

dogs and birds, Dietary requirements are of concern, as is

the boisterous nature of rabbits, not sure I'd risk it.
Seems like a very bad idea for all animals concerned. Buy another rat.
Not sure about the rat, but DO NOT put the rabbit in with the guinea pig. guinea pigs often get kicked by rabbits and can end up getting internal organ damage or even be killed! so please don't put them together!
The rabbit and guinea pig should be OK to live together as long as it is done slowly and gradualy. I would say that the rat should be kept seperate from them. If that rat is lonely try getting another as they are very socialble animals.
Rabbits and guinea pigs should not live together. This is an old-school idea that most veterinarians and rabbit and guinea pig experts strongly discourage. Rabbits can carry a disease that doesn't hurt them but can hurt guinea pigs. Also, rabbits mount for dominance and have very strong legs. There have been many cases of guinea pigs who have been accidentally injured by rabbits when they were mounted or when the rabbit panicked and accidentally kicked the guinea pig. Also, they have different dietary and social needs. See this site for more info:

Rats have totally different dietary needs from rabbits and guinea pigs. They can also be somewhat predatory, and the people I know who do have both rats and bunnies never ever let them play together. The same would go for guinea pigs.

If you want another animal, get your rat a friend. They are very social. If you want another species of pet then please keep it totally separate.
no! The rabbit will kill the guinea pig.
The rabbit and guinea pig should be fine if you get them both very young.

i would keep the rat seperate though, preferably indoors.
My rabbit lived with 2 guinea pigs happily for 3 years then th gp died because they were old then my rabbit died not long after because of a broken heart.Don't put the rat in with them though as they are an indoor rodent than an outside one.
nope definetely not as the rabbit and guinea pig will kill the rat

imagine the scene you come downstairs and there is blood and guts everywhere not nice especially if your daughter discovered them
introduce them slowly and see how they react. if it is good then go ahead but if they show any signs of fighting or running frome ach other dont!
no, a rat can live on it's own, and a guinea pig and rabbit can live together. But dont put all of them together
Me and my husband get along very well thankyou.........................

Friends of mine used to have a rabbit and guinea pig living together in the same cage. They got on fine, although the rabbit did dry hump the guinea pig from time to time.

I fear a rat might be too smal to hold its own, especially against the rabbit.
No they will probably eats one another.
It depends, do you mean in the house together or in the same cage?! As long as they NEVER meet, it is ok. besides, guinea pigs have different diet needs, so it would be impossible. And rabbits are known for hurting guinea pigs by kicking.
