Can you breed a much smaller female rabbit with a larger male rabbit?

I have had successful rabbit litters before and I want my rabbit to have another litter but I love both my rabbits heaps and I definitely don't wont to lose one so will the Female and all her babies die if she is bred with a larger male? She is a Mini dwarf and he is just a dwarf so on a scale he would be about one third larger than her.

Please only answer if you actually have done this and bred rabbits before :)Can you breed a much smaller female rabbit with a larger male rabbit?
If there is only a small difference in size, you are probably OK. If the buck is 2 x or more the size of the doe, you could have trouble. When they were first developing the Holland lop, one of the initial attempts was a large lop buck to a dwarf doe which was not a success because the kits were too big for the doe.

Mini Dwarf and Dwarf are not official breeds so I don't know the size differences you are dealing with. Weight is a better measure than just looking at them since the relationship between body weight and length can be somewhat deceptive. A rabbit that is 2x as long can be up to 8x as heavy! Can you breed a much smaller female rabbit with a larger male rabbit?
Thankyou, I did breed them and she had 4 healthy babies and no losses! thanks :)

If the female is half the size of the buck or smaller than,NO, PLEASE DON'T!!!The female would have difficulty giving birth and even if she could manage it, she probably wouldn't have enough milk to keep them all alive as the kits(babies) would either be larger or there would be a larger litter. Also, if you would plan to sell the kits, mix-breeding rabbits isn't the smartest thing you can do(no matter what size) as there is little market for them and most would end up in shelters and end up getting euthanized(did I spell that right?).If you want to breed, I suggest getting another buck of her breed(or another doe of his) or stud breeding to another buck or her breed.
She will be at higher risk if bred with a larger male.

The babies will be larger than with a dwarf to dwarf breeding. They will take more nutrition away from her, and she may have a hard time pushing them through the birth canal due to their size. It could result in a c-section, or even worse.

Personally I wouldn't risk it.
She should be fine because there is not a huge difference also I know with some animals the size of the male doesnt matter but you should check with a vet or a proffessional rabbit breeder.
if the buck is larger than the female the babies can be to big for the female to have them and she could die
Its a bad idea!

The female will be at risk!

The babies could grow to be too big for her to carry and deliver safely!
