Can I paint outside of a rabbit hutch using normal outside house paint?

Yes you can put it on the outsideCan I paint outside of a rabbit hutch using normal outside house paint?
No, I would not recommend painting the outside of a rabbit hutch using normal outside house paint.

I would suggest using Squirts Quick Dry Enamel - 350g. spray can. Get a color that closely matches the color of your house.

As I am sure you know...

Rabbits need plenty of room to hop around and a separate enclosed sleeping area that provides shelter from the elements. They are social animals and should have a companion such as another rabbit or a guinea pig. The suggested (RSPCA) size of a hutch for two rabbits is 180cm x 90cm x 90cm. This allows them to stand up, play and find space to be on their own. Bedding straw should be replaced on a daily basis and the hutch should be cleaned thoroughly each week. Insect mesh around the hutch will protect the rabbits from mosquitoes and other insects.

Just trying to help you out.

A rabbit's diet should consist of a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables such as apples, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, pears, spinach, turnip, lettuce and special pellets which are available at most pet shops. Other treats for rabbits include fresh hay, wholemeal bread mashed with water or milk and a piece of bark-covered wood is good for gnawing to maintain healthy teeth. Drip-fed water bottles stop contamination which happens if water is kept in a bowl. Can I paint outside of a rabbit hutch using normal outside house paint?
if you already have the paint, use it... just make sure you let it dry fully and leave it outside in the sun to get lots of fresh air before putting your rabbit(s) back...

if you are going to buy the paint, you might as well go with a non-toxic paint just to be sure

however, normal paint should be fine as long as you make sure the smell isnt too strong...

hope this helps :)
if its a water based paint you should be ok and as long as your rabbit is no where near the hutch until it is totally dry. i painted my rabbits hutch with ronseal varnish but i checked with my vet. and as long as its not where the bunny can nibble i'm sure its ok x
I would use non-toxic paint. Even if the paint isn't in an area where the bunny can nibble, the fumes can still get to him.
I would not paint it, the fumes might harm the rabbit. Rabbits dont care what their hutch looks like...LOL
no i would not advise it as it could be toxic to rabbits

i painted mine with a paint that is non harmful to animals.
Nope I wouldn't do it
