Check out the story of Eostre. She is a goddess of fertility (something the rabbit symbolizes for pretty obvious reasons!) and she is what the Christian holiday Easter was named after. She is celebrated during the Spring Equinox (March 20 or 21). You can find lots of info about her on google.

characters - the rabbit in the story about the turtle and rabbit going on a race but then the turtle winning cause the rabbit thought he could take a nap then just sprint faster than the turtle but rabbit was too deep in sleep so turtle won =)
